Pregnancy Update: 1 month to go! *Video*

Sharing Is Caring!

I am sitting on my rocking chair. My partner, Alex, is sitting on the couch reading a National Geographic Kids’ book with his son, Mathéo. Bali is probably sprawled out on his dog bed in the other room.

Today, I have prepared a video update in response to the questions I’ve received regarding how my pregnancy is going.

In sum: it’s going great!

I feel privileged and grateful. A pandemic is not anywhere close to what I would have imagined, yet, despite it all, all is going well.

Alex and I are ready for our baby girl’s arrival…almost. Clothes, snacks, and important documents are laid out in her crib waiting to be packed into the hospital bag. The car seat will be installed soon. And my parents are on standby to come get Bali when we head to the hospital. We still have a few weeks, but better be prepared than not!

Enjoy the video above with more details on how things are going or simply scroll through some of the items I’ve included here too!

*Video Note: I recorded this earlier today. I had 15min (& went over a few) as I promised the boys I’d prepare smoothie bowls after! That’s the reality of recording during quarantine & living in an open space!

Here’s an inside look into pregnancy life…

Having to cancel events doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate in other ways! Last weekend, my girlfriends and I hopped on Zoom for a virtual Baby Shower! I am grateful for the amazing support family & friends have provided to make sure that my baby girl is brought into this world with love & joy.

In her dresser…
I got this IKEA Hemnes drawer set on Kijiji for $60 from a McGill student. She was so lovely and I love how practical this piece is already. Not to mention skipping on assembly!

My grandmother, Patricia Margaret Lippert, aka “Nanny”, knit these incredible pieces 35 years ago. My mum has kept them all these years, and soon my baby girl will wear these beautiful outfits made with love.

I purchased a few core items for our baby aiming to stay minimal. However, our baby girl will have lots of cute outfits to choose from after we received a generous amount of clothes from the son of my mother’s friend! I had such a blast going through all the cute outfits from Newborn size to 12months!

Nursing Station: This is where she and I will be spending a lot of our time in the coming months to nurse, nap, bond…repeat! I can’t wait!

Have any questions you’d like me to answer?

Send them my way!

With love & light,
