Melissa has been teaching yoga since 2009. She completed her 500hr teacher training with Moksha Yoga International and has come into her own as a teacher and lover of fluid sequencing.
After having a regular practice of hot yoga for years, Melissa changed her practice dramatically after overcoming colo-rectal cancer in 2009.
“I was starting from scratch. My body was fragile. It wanted ease and softening. The heat simply didn’t jive with my body after that. I started practicing different styles and built my way back to a stronger body and mind.”
With her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for teaching, Melissa decided to create the vision for her own yoga studio. Within months of having created that vision, Melissa co-founded Viveka Yoga in Lachine, Quebec. A yoga studio dedicated to inspiring greatness on and off the mat.
In 2013, Melissa helped launch le Studio de Yoga Wanderlust in Montreal. Canada’s first Wanderlust studio. Bringing her expertise from Viveka Yoga, Melissa played an integral in the set-up of the studio.
Melissa left Viveka Yoga to pursue her passion for life coaching. She continues to teach invigorating and inspiration-filled classes to groups, corporations, and privately while building her life coaching business. Find out more about Melissa here.
